Today I met with the Leader of Broxtowe Borough Council, Milan Radulovic, and Lee Anderson MP, alongside the Friends of Brinsley Headstocks and local residents. We discussed our options going forward to keep the Headstocks in place. The overwhelming feeling was that restoring the wooden Headstocks would best preserve the identity and history of this ex-mining community. I will continue to work with all parties involved to facilitate a solution with which residents will be happy.
