There has been a lot of concern regarding recent reports of Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC) being found in schools. I have been in contact with the Government and I am glad to report that at present we have found no RAAC in any Broxtowe schools. I will continue to monitor the situation closely.
I am very proud of course to represent a constituency with so many incredible schools. One such school, Chilwell School, has recently been awarded funding as part of the Government’s School Rebuilding Programme. It is so important that children receive the best possible education and having visited our schools in Broxtowe I know this to be the case.
