I am very pleased that the Government have announced a £600 million package to help with local recruitment and retention in social care. The fund will support the social care workforce and boost capacity in social care, which will in turn support the NHS ahead of winter and through into next year.
It is vital we start preparing now for the winter months, and I am particularly glad to see that £55,409,491 is going straight to social care here in Nottinghamshire.
