I have sent the following letter to the planning officer at Broxtowe Borough Council regarding the proposed development at Beeston Marina.
I recently went to the site to speak with local residents and I am due to meet with the Planning Officer in person to discuss the proposed development.
As Members of Parliament we cannot influence planning decisions but I can put forward my views on behalf of my constituents. Whilst I am and will remain in favour of development within our constituency, I have spoken to local residents who are worried about the effect this particular proposal will have on their quality of life.
The consultation remains open until Tuesday 15th August and I urge everybody who has any thoughts on the development to contribute.

I have met and spoken with Beeston Civic Society and am very thankful for all the work they are doing for Beeston.
