Following my engagement with the residents in Broxtowe, including meetings with residents effected by the burst water main, I decided to apply for an adjournment debate (which can be watched here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mPXjWKA40uU), ‘Approval of Houses in Multiple Occupation’. As a result of this debate I managed to secure a meeting with the Minister of State (Housing and Planning), Rachel Maclean. I invited the Leader of Broxtowe Borough Council, Councillor Milan Radulovic MBE, to the meeting so we could both discuss our concerns surrounding the approval of HMOs in Broxtowe.
