I was delighted on Sunday to return to the Stapleford Cycle Hub! The Hub was first discussed back in 2020 when I had the idea in order to improve access to cycling in our community! I met with Ian and James who have worked hard alongside me for this Hub to be accomplished. I was delighted to meet them there to see the Hub’s progress since it opened.
The Hub has already had over a 100 people use it and I am delighted to see that it has achieved its aim to get more local people cycling. This has all been possible because of the Stapleford Towns Deal, that I have been very proud to secure and champion.
I also visited the site of the Cycling Training Track, which is currently being developed. Bikeability training will be available on the track to help young people in Stapleford polish up on their bike skills and safety. I cannot wait until the track is open and ready for the community to enjoy.
