This afternoon I questioned the Chancellor regarding his Autumn Statement and the need for greater spending here in the East Midlands.
I have heard from many constituents in recent days about their concerns regarding the triple lock, so I was delighted that this commitment was reaffirmed today. Other important announcements were around: a much-needed boost to the national living wage, increased funding for schools and the NHS.
However, it is vitally important that our region and Broxtowe receives its fair share of Government spending. That is what I will continue to raise with the Government.
