Since my post earlier today about the closure of the Wilko stores in Kimberley and Beeston, we have received the welcome news that Poundland have agreed a deal to buy both these stores. I am especially pleased as Poundland have already made a commitment to give priority to the former Wilko staff in job applications. After what has been a turbulent few weeks, I am glad that it appears there may be light at the end of the tunnel for Wilko staff.
