Over the last 48 hours countless colleagues and friends have resigned from a range of positions in Government. My role, one that may not be as notable in comparison is that of Prime Ministers Trade Envoy to the Caribbean. Many may not know but I am the first Conservative Member of Parliament from an Afro-Caribbean background and as such I felt this position fitted me perfectly. Since taking over the role I have connected businesses from around the UK and even from within Broxtowe with opportunities within the Caribbean. I take this role seriously and no matter my feeling for the current state of Government I will continue to do all I can to enhance Anglo-Caribbean relations.
The Prime Minister has offered his resignation and a leadership contest will now ensue. I will look at the candidates with interest and support the one who I feel will be best for our country and best for Broxtowe. I became an MP to serve my community and that will always be my first priority. If any of my constituents need assistance on any issues please do not hesitate to contact me, as usual I will be here getting on with the most important part of my job Serving the people of Broxtowe.
