I met with Compass Fostering at the Stapleford Jobs Fair. We discussed the fantastic work that fostering children involves, which can be a challenging but ultimately rewarding and life-changing endeavour. Compass provides crucial information, guidance and support to facilitate relationships between foster carers and children. They expressed the necessity for more foster carers to give warmth, time and empathy to the vulnerable young people in our area.
It was also fantastic to meet with a group from Inspire Nottingham to discuss their tireless work. Inspire College helps younger people and adults not only prepare for work or further education, but provides necessary skills for the rest of their lives.
I would like to express my thanks to Councillor Macrae for his continued work for the people of Stapleford, providing over a decade of Jobs Fairs for local residents.
