This week I caught up with the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Roads and Local Transport, Guy Opperman MP. As a Member of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Cycling and Walking, I attended their annual showcase.
I have invited him to Broxtowe to see some of the fantastic improvements to walking, wheeling and cycling infrastructure and new cycling facilities we have secured! Thanks to the Stapleford Towns Deal we have a new cycle hub and training track, already benefiting the community.
Work has just started on the ramp at Bennerley Viaduct, enabling easier cycle access, as well as for those with disabilities or pushchairs.
