Over the weekend I took part in a charity football match in support of the Poppy Appeal. As a Veteran and a member of Eastwood & District Royal British Legion, I was delighted to be able to support this worthy cause. A huge thank you must go to Jon Cooper, Chairman of the RBL’s Eastwood & District Branch.
Thank you to all of those who played on the day and came out to support the match. Great fun was had by all. Decathlon won on the day 3 - 1 and I am still sure many enjoyed watching my spectacular tumble whilst chasing the ball on a perfectly smooth pitch!
