I once again attended a memorial event in Stapleford to remember the great Walter Parker VC who fought for the freedom we enjoy today. It was brilliant to speak with his great, great, great nephew Thomas Edward Denton, Richard Denton, Sam Leighton the Royal Marines National Standard Bearer, David Grindell an Alderman and Robert Walker from the Stapleford Combined Services Club.
